AnkhLave Arts Alliance, Inc, is currently looking to fill part-time internships for Fall 2019 - Summer 2020.

Eligibility:

Undergraduate, Graduate students or recent grads.

All internships are remote positions with in person or skype checkins monthly.


In addition to specified duties, responsibilities may also include:

•Creating and managing online databases
•Event production (exhibition openings, poetry slams, annual fundraiser, etc)
•Email and phone communications with artists, arts organizations, service suppliers etc
•Assisting with studio visits
•Direct assistance to artists




ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT INTERNSHIP

AnkhLave Arts Alliance, Inc. has 2 part-time Administrative internship positions for 2019 /2020

Eligibility: Undergraduate, Graduate students or recent grads.

AnkhLave Arts Alliance, Inc. interns have the unique opportunity to work closely with staff and the larger arts community in learning all aspects of  a nonprofit organization. Because AnkhLave Arts Alliance, Inc. exhibits diversity in a range of spaces, we have strong connections to cultural professionals.  The internship position can build excellent professional skills/contacts and a breadth of knowledge that goes well beyond the work involved. Internships at AnkhLave Arts Alliance, Inc. are particularly beneficial to motivated and enthusiastic individuals who are interested in cultivating exhibitions, operations, development and arts administration experience in order to gain work experience and fulfill career goals in the art world.

AnkhLave Arts Alliance, Inc. is a NYC based nonprofit alternative arts organization. 

Administrative Assistant Interns will work side by side with the Executive Director on major administrative and fundraising projects.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Creating and managing databases
  • Email and phone communications with artists, arts organizations, curators, collectors and educators
  • Assessing and organizing resources for artists and programs
  • Scheduling delivery of artworks, services and communications
  • General administrative support for our many ongoing initiatives


All Interns will report directly to the Artistic Director and must be available at least 20 hours a week, including Saturday (rarely).

Candidates should possess good phone and email manners, the ability to be punctual, have a basic working knowledge of Macintosh computers, have a basic working knowledge of Excel and Google docs, but most of all have an interest in contemporary art and an enthusiasm for working with the public. Other valuable skills would be experience with Adobe Creative Suite products and experience with digital photography. Candidates should have a serious passion for their own artistic practice and a commitment to learning.






SOCIAL MEDIA / COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT INTERNSHIP

  • Working with artists to create, schedule and post content.
  • Video interviews and editing for social media.
  • Research into current and topical trends in social media relevant to our programs and mission.


All Interns will report directly to the Artistic Director and must be available at least 20 hours a week, including Saturday (rarely).

GRANT WRITER / FUNDRAISING MANAGER INTERNSHIP:
