1) What is your ethnicity?
Afro – Portuguese, Mother Angola/ Father Portuguese.
2) What is your mediums(s) of choice?
Mixed- Media and Acrylics
3) What scale/ dimensions do you usually work in?
Every scale-till very big 10m by 5 m, The necessary one.
4) How old were you when you began creating?
Since 8 years old, very early.
5) What were some of your earliest inspirations?
Freedom,flying birds a lot of fishes (aquariums) and people.
6) Who are some of your favorite visual artists?
Mondigliani, Toulouse, Lutrec, Picasso and Matisse
7) What are some of the consistent themes in your work and please describe them?
Fish is symbol of food ,simple form and possible to be simplified.
8) Are there any other art forms such as music, dance, acting, culinary arts, or other creative domains you occupy that we should know about?
Yes- Music ! Singer and percussionist… Chefcook – I can cook for a lot * Culinair
( French way and Afro way)
9) Name 3 of your biggest accomplishment in your artistic career?
-Big paintings in Amsterdam in the language school 10x5 meters,
-A Village in the African- way, inside an office,for African-server: see my website.
-A big restaurant all painted in my own style.
10) What purpose does your art serve for the viewer?
Well people can see a way of painting that is unique and represent my way of seeing. The explosion of colours dignifying the existence of the pigment transmitting one possible way,for one clear message. It’s very decorative and people like this part a lot.
11) Do you think it is important for (a) the viewer to have a subjective experience with your work or (b) to know and take the artist’s point of view into account to appreciate your work?
A Yes; and the rest also, To be appreciated yes, It’s to confirm the connection with the conscience of society.Where the subject became primordial ( 1st)

12) would you consider yourself a relativist when it comes to art appreciation?
Well my work can be relative but when the colour is blue I don’t like it when somebody calls it yellow.
13) is there any art you don’t like?
Yes; the one that don’t exist. For me it’s impossible to be against art and having an argument for it, I cannot be against myself!
14) please expand on your voice as an artist and explain why it is necessary to share?
As an artist I’m aware of sensibility.If that is part of art , sharing is something that has to be done for better meaning of art, that means helping the surroundings. We all must share.
15) would you consider yourself a socially conscious artist or art activist? Explain.
When I was young yes I was a very active activist, but nowadays the consciousness takes me to understand much more and I prefer to talk in another way.
